WOW's mission is to enhance lives and by doing so we enhance our communities.  We encourage people to rediscover who they are by answering core questions about themselves.  To start is simple.  Get a one subject notebook or composition book which usually runs about a buck at your local grocer, convenient or dollar store.  For the seasoned journalist choose your favorite hard bound journal.  It is about getting to the heart of soulful expression.  This includes writing as well as sketching, doodling, painting, etc. The art involves using your journal to maximize its creative and personal discovery potential.  Here we will discuss a couple of the techniques in Stories of Our Lives: A Collection of Memoirs The Guidebook to get you started.  To get the juices flowing you can:

********FREE TECHNIQUES THAT CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE***************

*Try writing an Unsent Letter to an estranged loved one with whom you never felt closure.
The Unsent Letter Technique is one of the most therapeutic uses of the journal.  Unsent letters can be written to anyone and anything.  They are great vehicles for purging old feelings.  To expand you further, someone used this technique to send a letter to the guardian angel of a runaway daughter.

*Create a written dialogue between you and an individual with whom you have a hard time communicating.
The Dialogue Technique consists of written conversations.  These dialogues provide a means of confronting issues and delving consciously into the source of emotional reaction.  This helps in providing creative solutions for conflict resolution especially internal conflict.  Of course you can create dialogues between you and another person, however, try creating a dialogue with: aspects of your inner self i.e. alter ego, libido or other parts of your persona, a body part, an event, a group i.e. organizations, fraternity/sorority, cliques at work, places of worship and in your community etc, or a particular environment i.e. a park you love or a place past or present that makes you feel uncomfortable.

First we start with self.  Happier people draw happy people to them.  Find the source of your unhappiness be it a person, an event,  a terrible act, an illness, a natural disaster, or perhaps the source of your unhappiness is self-inflicted.  Forgive them, forgive it and most importantly forgive yourself.  WRITE IT DOWN.  Read and reread it.  Receive all positive messages while discarding the unhealthy ones. Learn and grow.
